We are seeking an experienced Masonry/Concrete Estimator to join our team. As an estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing detailed proposals to clients. This is a vital role in our organization as it directly impacts project planning, budgeting, and overall success.
Responsibilities:
– Analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine project requirements
– Conduct on-site visits to gather information and assess project scope
– Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam to prepare accurate cost estimates
– Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
– Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
– Research and analyze historical data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to ensure accurate pricing
– Develop comprehensive proposals that outline project scope, schedule, cost breakdowns, and other relevant details
– Present estimates and proposals to clients in a professional manner
– Negotiate pricing with clients and subcontractors
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field (preferred)
– Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
– Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, techniques, and practices
– Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam
– Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations
– Computer skills, including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
– Strong organizational and time management skills
